About Jairo

Jairo is a renowned healer, born into a powerful lineage of Curanderos in the jungles of Peru. Jairo stepped into his apprenticeship at 13, following into his father’s footsteps. His father, Julio Llerena, worked very closely with the author, Peter Gorman to spread awareness and education on shamanic medicine to the western communities. Jairo and his father’s life-giving work has generously expanded access for us, westernized communities to learn from the medicine.

Jairo passionately takes on his generational life purpose: to facilitate, educate and extend healing across borders as he travels from Peru to teach us the values of slow, purposeful and kind attention to the spirit of the Earth’s medicine.
